Acquired From
*Sold by Giselbert in Brynn

Unique Properties
Belt pouches are almost like an upgraded Purse. They each have 35 slots that can hold small Valuables and 7 slots that can hold Rings or small Valuables while taking up a 2x2 space in the inventory. Both of the slots can also be used to hold Crowns. This means that a Belt Pouch can store an extra 200 Crowns using the exact same space as two Purses. While holding an extra 200 Crowns doesn't seem like a great benefit, there are two useful properties that make them worth considering.

First, the ability to store Rings in the Belt Pouch usually provides a noticeable amount of space saving while venturing through a dungeon. Second, Belt Pouches come in 3 different colors and thus can be used to help organize Caravan storage. Storing Gems, small common Valuables, and Old Kingdom Crowns in different colored Belt Pouches makes storing things to sell in Brynn much easier as you can see which pouches to grab at a glance rather than sorting through identical looking Purses.
Quest Failed
If you refuse to hand over the Orange (choose to end the conversation without turning it in), or if specific dialogue paths are chosen, Ol'Owcrey may become hostile to the quest's completion and deemed the quest as failed which leads to:
* Quest failed.
* Red Reputation with Rotten Willow Tavern.
* l'Owcrey won't offer you other quest for certain days.

If you still have the Orange (or reacquire it) after the quest deemed failed, you can still turn it in and got:
* Rotten Willow Tavern Reputation restored to at least 3000
* 375

Notes
* You have roughly 24 hours from the point where you enter the Roadside Chapel building during this quest till the, "Return the Tabula of Aeons to Father Origen." portion of the quest automatically fails. The interior of the Roadside Chapel and Grimms's hut will be destroyed. A single large Ghoul will be in Father Origen's place, Grimms will disappear, and the second floor of the Chapel will no longer be accessible.
* If you leave the Roadside Chapel during the "Protect the Priest" phase of the quest (either going outside of the chapel or to the 2nd floor), it will deemed you failed the task and both Father Origen and Grimms died from the Brigands' attack.
* If Father Origen is dead or killed, he will always drop his Unique.
* Saving the priest and finish the ritual will unlock new merchant, that is Grimms who will be available at Roadside Chapel to sell random junk or tier II-V items with 2.5x markup.
* If you saved the priest and finished the ritual, you will get additional rewards from Father Origen. You can choose one from 3 options:
# If you ask for gold, you'll get Golden Plate, Liturgical Chalice, Ornate Mirror
# If you ask for his crossbow you'll get Unique
# If you don't ask for anything, you'll get Permanent +6% Unholy Resistance and +6% Crit Avoidance to "sacred" (+5% Unholy Resistance and Crit Avoidance to "sacred" and "sacred").
|L'Owcrey, the occultist from the Rotten Willow, sent me to retrieve an artifact known as the Epic. The trail goes cold somewhere near the Roadside Chapel, in the southwestern reaches of the Brynn March.<br><br>
He suspected that the chapel's keeper knew about the relic - and he was right. The Tabule lies hidden in a crypt called the Theosopher's Refuge.
{{Spoiler|
Quest Failed
If you refuse to hand over the Orange (choose to end the conversation without turning it in), or if specific dialogue paths are chosen, Ol'Owcrey may become hostile to the quest's completion and deemed the quest as failed which leads to:
* Quest failed.

* 375

It is located south of Osbrook on the road between Osbrook and Mannshire, farther from the former than the Distant Homestead.
The Abandoned Homestead is a cluster of collapsed houses, completely deserted. Two of them are enterable by the mercenary. There is also a field, but nothing grows on it except Burdocks.

Unique Properties
The Burglar Backpack has 5 devoted Tool slots, 2 for holding Crowbars and 3 for holding Lockpicks. It also has 18 general slots for storing anything else you would like, which is only 2 slots less than a Pack Basket. The space saved with just one crowbar makes up for the 2 missing general slots.

The Burglar Backpack is an excellent choice to take into longer Tier 4 or 5 dungeons. It provides a fairly large amount of space for adventuring supplies with the added benefit of having 2 crowbars for traps and sealed tombs as well as lockpicks for doors and chests.

Trivia
* When wearing a Burglar Backpack, the guard inspection chance increases to 15% (up to 30% if the Settlement is in the Reinforcements situation).
* As of the current version 0.9.4.6 "Blood Omens" patch, it is now possible to use Crowbars or Lockpicks in their devoted slots without pulling them into your regular inventory first.

__TOC__

When travelling through the world of Stoneshard, you will explore various enviroments. Thick forests, peaceful fields, flowing rivers, windy steppes, beachy coasts and rocky mountains.

Biomes
Biomes are map tiles that always appear with specific features unique to them. Biomes on the Global Map are randomly generated but follow a certain gradient - the south will be warm steppe, and the north will be cold forests. These tiles can generate with certain features like Lakes or Rivers. Biomes can combine the features of other, adjoining Biomes which will be represented on the corners and sides of the tile.

Field
<gallery mode="nolines">
File:Field.png|thumb|
</gallery>
Fields are wide open areas with small groupings of bushes. This Biome is a good source of Herbs and Berries. Getting ambushed in an open Field is dangerous. Fields located closer to the north and Pine Forests have unique variants of Berries.

Harmless Animals:
* Birds
* Feral Dog

File:Leaf Forest.png|thumb|
File:Pine Forest.png|thumb|
</gallery>
Leaf and Pine Forests are currently the most varied Biome. A labyrinth of trees makes for an interesting place to hunt or fight within.

Forests are full of Herbs, various types of Mushrooms and Berries, along with Pine Cones and Acorns (in their respective forest variants) and Sticks. Sometimes there may be nests of forest birds, from which the mercenary can take Eggs. There are also Claw Traps scattered throughout the forests which a prudent mercenary should avoid, and a shrewd one should take for his own use.

Forests are home to a wide variety of fauna and are where the respective animal's Hunting Grounds will be located.

Harmless Animals:
* Birds
* Squirrel
* Fox
* Deer

Hostile Animals:
* Forest Viper
* Boar
* Wolf
* Moose
* Bear
* Young Troll

Steppe
Steppes are a warmer variant of fields. Different types of Herbs can be found exclusively in the steppe, as well as unique variants of Berries. Sometimes there may be nests of steppe birds, built on stunted trees. In addition, dry bushes in the Steppes can be broken to obtain Sticks.

Harmless Animals:
* Bison
* Gulon
* Harpy

Coast
Coastal tiles feature a strip of sandy beach with waves. Sticks can be found on the beach among other flotsam and debris, as well as occasional Shells and Seaweed. Also, on the coasts a mercenary can find seagull nests hidden in the rocks.

Coasts feature everything a mercenary requires to survive - sea water to drink, crabs to eat, and Sticks to cook said crabs.

Harmless Animals:
* Seagull
* Gray Crab

Mountains
Mountains are ragged, impassable tiles, and cannot be entered.

Sea
Sea tiles are linked to Coasts. If you remove your weapons, armor, and have a reliable way to regenerate stamina you can reliably swim across Sea tiles. The most common ways to accomplish this are with Inner Reserves from the Athletics skill tree or the Cleansing Chalice.

Swamp
In development...

Features
Each tile on a map can contain certain features:

Minor Features
Minor Features are not marked on the Global Map.

* Grave is a lonely burial site that can be looted with a Shovel.
</gallery>
* Apiary is a few beehives or a honey storage which appear somewhere on the adjacent tile of each Settlement (Brynn and Denbrie are exceptions). Up to 5 Honeycombs can be found inside.
<gallery mode="nolines">
File:Hunting Tower.png|thumb|
</gallery>
* Caravan Remains - remain at the previous location of the Caravan Camp after its move. Apart from the extinguished fire pit, garbage and stumps, there is nothing interesting left here.
<gallery mode="nolines">
File:Caravan Remains.png|thumb|
</gallery>

Roads
Roads can be randomly pathed through most of the Biome variants, except for the mountains, coasts and the sea. They connect Factions & Settlements#Settlements with each other, their Contract Dungeons and certains Points of Interest. Roads always go through the middle of a tile, and connect to the middle of their respective edges.

There are several road variants:

* Straight roads (only in cardinal directions)
* Curved roads
* T junctions; forks
* X junctions; crossings

Roadside Features
* Roadside Altar
* Abandoned Cart

Rivers
Rivers are several tiles wide, and sometimes have shallows on the banks. Crossing a river requires the player and any other entity to swim.

River Features
* River Camps
* River mouth (where a River meets the Sea via a Coast tile, a small delta with several islands will be generated)
* River Crossings:
** Ford - forces the player to get wet, but is shallow enough to not require swimming
** Bridge - allows dry crossing of the River, can be wooden or stone, and is a few tiles wide. However, the bridge may be broken - and then mercenary will still have to get his feet wet.

Lakes
Lakes fill up most of the interior of their respective tile, and are roughly circular in shape, with a shallow region on its edge, and deep water in the middle.

Opening the backpack takes a turn, so it is not advisable to keep any items you may need to use in combat stored within it.

In the current update 0.9.4.6, any medicines you store in a backpack that can be used from the injury context menu can be used directly without opening the bag even if they are within another container like an Exquisite Casket.

Inventory
Acquired from
Can be found in the Hermit's Hut in the Mannshire area. It will be marked on your map even if you haven't discovered it yet by accepting the task, Herbalist for Mannshire from Josh in the Mannshire church.

Unique Properties
The Herbalist Bag has the same amount of free space as a Knapsack but in a 2x6 configuration in addition to it's 12 devoted slots. This makes it well suited to holding a variety of small items. Each of the devoted slots holds a single unstacked item and they must be of a strict 1x2 size.

The Herbalist Bag uses 6 devoted 1x2 "Bottle" slots on the top row that can be used to hold a variety of different things including,

* All types of Alcohol
* Bottles of Oil
* Large bottled Drugs like Abasa and Paregoric
* Empty Glass Bottles
* Glass Bottles full of Water
*Large bottled Medicines like Ether Inhalers, Gwynnel's Elixir, or Vivifying Essence
* Potions

This Bag also uses 6 devoted 1x2 "Herb" slots which are more limited and can hold,

* Any gathered Herb
* Unharvested Lentils

Misc Info
The Herbalist Bag can be very useful for survival especially in the early and mid game. This is achieved by stocking food, water, and utility items in larger amounts than other bags found at the time.

It can hold several bottles of water or oil in the bottle slots for both hydration, fire suppression, and establishing Electricity or Fire damage vulnerability. Lentil plants can be stored in the herb slots for emergency rations. Alternatively Mindwort can be carried to boost sanity and Henbane can be used before a fight to give you an edge in combat. Finally, the free space can be used to hold a large amount of medical supplies like Splints, Antitoxin, Herbal Extract, Leeches, or other small items.

With the v0.9.3.0 "Of Beasts & Sages" update, the herbalist bag became slightly more valuable. Many of the newly added rare plants are Herbs and as such can be placed in the satchel just like any of the common ones.
Inventory
Acquired from
Can be found in the Hermit's Hut in the Mannshire area. It will be marked on your map even if you haven't discovered it yet by accepting the task, Herbalist for Mannshire.

The Herbalist Bag uses 6 devoted 1x2 "Bottle" slots on the top row that can be used for a variety of different things including,

* All types of Alcohol
* Bottles of Oil
*Several Drugs
* Empty Glass Bottles
* Glass Bottles full of Water or Milk
* Potions

This Bag also uses 6 devoted 1x2 "Herb" slots which are more limited and can hold,

* Any gathered Herb
* Unharvested Lentils

With the v0.9.3.0 "Of Beasts & Sages" update, the herbalist bag did get slightly more valuable. Many of the newly added rare plants are Herbs and as such can be placed in the satchel just like any of the common ones.
The Pack Basket is an item that can be found in the overworld of the game or bought from tailors.

The Pack Basket can be carried in the inventory, taking up 3 by 4 slots of space, or it can be worn in the cloak slot.
When the player interacts with the Pack Basket, they are given the option to Open it. This opens up a secondary inventory screen consisting of 3 sections which includes a larger 3x4 space and two pockets of 2x2.
It offers no value unless carried in the cloak slot, since it cant be carried in your inventory while having items inside. However, it can be stored in a camp chest or other static container while it has items inside.

Opening the Pack Basket takes a turn, so it is not advisable to keep any items you may need to use in combat stored within it.
