Dying in battle is an honor for Barcian warriors, this led by their sarcavags put every fallen soldier into a book to commemorate their sacrifice. Barcia is the last country located at the East of continent that still not conquered by the Jacinth Kingdom with their military campaign.
Geography and Economy
Geographically, the theocratic Kingdom of Barcia are located in very high elevation area and it is renown for their unapproachable mountain cities. Their tiny territories are almost all engulfed by many tall mountain and their people can survive and thriving on the harsh weather and environment surrounding the mountains.
Economically, despite being surrounded by Jibean and Maaf tribes with frequent invasions, Theocracy of Barcia still able to survive and withheld their Kingdom from Jacinth acquisition. There's little to no information that Barcia conduct trade agreement with Jacinth Kingdom or any of the Western civilizations. This probably caused by their location that surrounded by mountains and the exception of Azure Thread, leading them to be more self-sufficient.
Government and Religion
Barcia are adopting the theocratic policy for their governmental system. Their fate for The Host Indivisible are what led their citizen to trust their clergy that also their nobility who are called sarcavags. Sarcavags are high clergy and nobles who rules and owned many cities or area across Barcia.
Because how deep and strong their faith is the reason why Barcia has never been conquered by Jacinth. Their believe in Host Inidivisible with the teaching of Orient Hieronism or the Path of Purity. All citizen of Barcia followed this teaching to their core and way of life. Even though this teaching has differences with Gnostic Hieronism at Aldor, it has more ties and similarity than the rest of Easterner who believe in Eraffa and Alrayi teachings. The only other people who still follow this teaching are spread across Yohara and small portion in Jibei Kingdom, which unlike Barcia, already fallen to the rule of Jacinth Kingdom.
History and Culture
There's little record about history, heritage and culture about Barcia outside the folio written by the famous Aldorian traveler Barbador The Lame.
It is told that Barcian men are stout, dark-skinned, curly-haired, and often wear long well-kempt beards which they usually decorated. While the women bear more resemblance to the Elven maidens, sharing similar facial features and tradition to cover their hair.
Their foundation and way of life is their faith to The Host Indivisible. Their fate about Orient Hieronism helps them to be able to live without Jacinth's rule for hundred of years. Because their deep faith to their believe, they elect their clergy or what is called sarcavag, as the ruler of their cities and towns. With this theocratic culture and government, many ancient churches are still preserved and attained until this day.
They have very high regard to people who died fighting in the name of The Host and to protect their homeland. Their sarcavags will write the name of those who lost their life in the fight in a special book called March-Az-Gezi and will used to be remembered as martyrs for generations. Other things to commemorate their martyrs' sacrifice, stone steles carved with many martyr's countenance and live events placed on the side of their roads. There are so many steles placed on the road to the cities that it can provide shade for travelers.
