Treat Health/Energy Restoration as an invisible scale which fills by %stat value% every turn. When it hits 100%, you replenish 5% of your Health/Energy, with "extra" progress being transferred to the next cycle of restoration.<ref>Wayfinder's comment on Reddit</ref>
For example, if you have 100 Max energy and 40% Energy Restoration, each turn you would fill an invisibile bar by 40%. If for example you have 60 energy out of 100, this would happen:
- Turn 1: The energy restoration invisible bar would go from 0% to 40%
- Turn 2: The energy restoration invisible bar would go from 40% to 80%
- Turn 3:
- The energy restoration invisible bar would go from 80% to 100%
- you would gain 5 energy (5% of max Energy)
- The bar would reset from 100% to 0%
- The rest of the Energy restoration that was not used goes to the bar, from 0% to 20%
- Turn 4: The energy restoration invisible bar would go from 20% to 60%
- Turn 5: Etc.
