The percentage of reduction for all the Physical Damage you receive: Slashing, Piercing, Crushing and Rending.
Equipment that covers a specific body part (Armor, Headgear, etc.) provides this resistance to only that specific body part.
Equipment that doesn't cover a specific body part (Cloaks, Belts, etc.) provides this resistance to all body parts.
