Cooking is a process that uses different types of raw Food: raw meat, fish, mushrooms and potatoes, and turns them into cooked versions, improving the bonuses you gain from eating them. Cooking is one of the crafting methods mentioned in the Development roadmap that will be added in the future updates.
Cooking Mechanics
- A fire source is required to cook - find Camps or visit fireplaces in Towns. Bandit Dungeons usually also have cooking fires in the kitchen or a campfire outside.
- For now the cooking process is simplified - right-click on the fire source and select Cook option.
- The amount of items cooked per turn varies, usually 1-3 randomly selected cookable items in your inventory will be cooked.
- Due to the random cooking mechanic, if for some reason you don't want to cook a certain item, you should throw it out of your inventory and pick it up again after cooking is finished.
