This stat depends on several factors:

Situations (50%) – contacts with unholy magic and its abominations, head injuries, outcomes of spellcasting, as well as the influence of certain effects and consumables.
Lifestyle (35%) – social interactions and entertainment: completing Contracts, learning news and rumors, praying, cooking, and crafting.
Rest (15%) – sufficient and regular sleep.

Sanity below 50% results in negative Psyche states.
