Denbrie

The fishing village of Denbrie or what's left of it is the westernmost settlement within the Grand Magistrate's influence. During the war, The Council's army marched and ransacked the village to the point where there were no survivors aside from a couple of fishermen and a deranged merchant. The Magistrate sent a garrison to defend and rebuild Denbrie so Brynn's Salt commodity is preserved.

There is nothing left in Denbrie aside from a couple of worn-out houses, a makeshift dock, and a repurposed chapel as a barrack. With a handful of workers, the salt industry in Denbrie is incapable of making enough salt to fulfill Brynn's quota, a far cry from what they were renowned for before the war. But now, even after the war's end, Denbrie is still constantly at risk of facing attacks from bandits and the nightmarish creatures that haunt the Magistrate's frontier.

By the time the truce was settled, Denbrie had already been turned into ruins. The Council's army razed this quiet fishing village twice: first during their initial advance, and then - while retreating from their defeat under the walls of Brynn.

Right now the only thing keeping this settlement afloat is the garrison sent here by the Magistrate to oversee its western border.
