Camp is a generic POI that is always present on the Global Map. The location and amount of camps is randomly selected when creating a New Game. For obvious reasons, it is absent from pre-war paper maps.
Description
“ | Someone decided to set up a temporary camp in this area. | „ |
Some of the camps are located near the ruins of burnt huts or ancient towers, some are on the banks of rivers, and some have been ravaged by wild animals that killed their inhabitants. In most of them, the mercenary can see important objects of brigand life: a shooting range with targets, carcasses of animals caught by Poachers, cages for captives, boats for river robbery, etc.
Rumors
Desolate Camp
“ | One of the guards told me about an entire outlaw gang they'd decimated some time ago. Looks like those scumbags set up their raid camp a good distance away from the main roads - it should be empty now, but for how long? | „ |
Encampment
“ | A friendly guard told me about a hidden camp his squad made for when the night catches them outside the village. I have no reason to doubt him, so you can be certain this camp is where he says it is. | „ |
Campsite
“ | I know a great place for a camp, often used by hunters and the Magistrate patrols. Although, there's always a chance to run into a less pleasant crowd. | „ |
Camp on a Clearing
“ | The last time I travelled, I noticed some lights in the distance. I approached to investigate - turned out some fellows made themselves a camp in the clearing. I figured it wasn't worth the risk to stick around and have a conversation, but I can tell you where that place is if you want to. | „ |
Brigand Camp
A rumor unique to Osbrook and Mannshire.
“ | A few days ago our guards wiped out a bandit den. They were walking through the forest, the very thickest of it, when all of a sudden they caught a whiff of smoke. It was deep in the woods, not a single soul for miles - where could this smoke be coming from? They followed the smell to a clearing where they found a dugout, roughly covered with pine branches. Our guards invited themselves in, immediately tied up three bandits that were inside, and then six more that returned to the camp later at night. None of the wretches put up much of a fight: I suppose they were sick and tired of skulking in the woods. So we packed them up and had them sent to Brynn - I bet they're still hanging above the city gates. | „ |
