According to him, the chapel's keeper might know where the relic is - or may even be hiding it himself.

Quest Failed

If you refuse to hand over the Tabula of Aeons (choose to end the conversation without turning it in), or if specific dialogue paths are chosen, l'Owcrey may become hostile to the quest's completion and deemed the quest as failed whic led to:

If you still have the Tabula of Aeons (or reacquire it) after the quest deemed failed, you can still turn it in and got:

  • Rotten Willow Tavern Reputation restored to at least 3000
  • 375

Notes

  • If you leave the Roadside Chapel during the "Protect the Priest" phase of the quest (either going outside of the chapel or to the 2nd floor), it will deemed you failed the task and both Father Origen and Grimms died from the Brigands' attack.
  • If Father Origen is dead or killed, he will always drop his Blessed Crossbow.
  • Saving the priest and finish the ritual will unlock new merchant, that is Grimms who will be available at Roadside Chapel to sell random junk or tier II-V items with 2.5x markup.
  • If you saved the priest and finished the ritual, you will get additional rewards from Father Origen. You can choose one from 3 options:
  1. If you ask for gold, you'll get Golden Plate, Liturgical Chalice, Ornate Mirror
  2. If you ask for his crossbow you'll get Blessed Crossbow
  3. If you don't ask for anything, you'll get Permanent +6% Unholy Resistance and +6% Crit Avoidance to "Blessing" (+5% Unholy Resistance and Crit Avoidance to "Ancestors' Gaze" and "Peace of Mind").
