Cooking
Cooking is a process that uses different types of raw Food: raw meat, fish, mushrooms and potatoes, and turns them into cooked versions, improving the bonuses you gain from eating them. In the Rags to Riches update, cooking system developed into more broad and introducing dishes that use many ingredients to create and recipe to make.
Cooking Mechanics
- A fire source is required to cook - this can be from Campfire from Bandit camps or you can make from Brushwood Bundle and Firepit in building like inns, NPC's house, or inside Bastion dungeon.
- To cook, you need to lit the fire in the Campfire or Firepit, then the cooking table will open with recipe that you already known or learnt from Recipes.
- Some Dishes can be cooked from the fire, some need Travel Pot to cook. All Firepits are already implemented with Big Pot that cannot be taken out.
- Some Dishes like Meat skewer can be put into your Inventory, but most of the Dishes need a container like Plate or Bowl to be merged so it can be brought in your inventory.
- Uncooked Ingredients now have varied tags like Food, Berry, Vegetable, Fruit, Mushroom, Meat, Meat (Large), Fish, Pastry, and Herb.
- In Rags to Riches, they implemented Additive substances that can be added to Cooking Tabs beside other ingredients to gain bonus buff.
- Anything that have Food tags can be eaten raw to decrease Hunger with their own buffs and debuffs.
- There are 5 categories of cooking that can be done in Cooking Tabs: Basic Actions, Soups, Main Courses, Side Dishes, and Desserts.
- Spoiled food cannot be cooked.
Dishes
- Dishes are food that made from cooking except basic actions cooking.
- Dishes can be sold in many innkeepers/taverns with their own plate/bowl.
- Cooking dishes in the Caravan Camp can add Morale and Sanity depending on you Caravan Upgrade and the complexity of the recipe.
