Acquired From
Verren's Ring is a special reward for players that subscribed to the Stoneshard newsletter prior to the day of release into Early Access on Steam. The subscribed users received a DLC key that unlocks Verren's Ring in-game. After creating your character, if you talked to Verren again, he would give you his ring.
The page for subscribing is still active as of today.
With patch 0.5.8.6 (Trollslayer Update) the DLC key isn't required anymore - Verren's Ring can now be acquired simply by talking to Verren.
