Additionally, each beast has the "Dash" skill, which makes escaping the wolf pack really hard if it gets too close.
All this makes fighting a large pack of wolves in an open area a challenge even for moderately experienced mercenaries.
Tactics
Use the terrain to your advantage.
Try to lure the wolves to a place where they can only fight you one or two at a time.
Hide behind obstacles to minimize the dangers of "Dash" attacks.
Remember - wolves lured by "Howl" can still appear after the fight and will join the attack while you are resting.
Possible Loot
After Skinning each Wolf leaves 1 Sinewy Meat.
If her skin has not been cut, 1 Wolf Pelt can also be obtained.
